01 · Class profile
Who is in the ESCP MBA class
ESCP shows these in the 'Class Profile' block of its MBA page, which carries no class year or intake, so we label them with none. The page also says the MBA is tailored for mid-level professionals with approximately 3 years of work experience.
Share of students by region (ESCP's grouping)
Share of students by region, as ESCP groups them. ESCP prints bare percentages, does not say what the regions measure and gives no class year. The only women share ESCP gives is 44% in the Class of 2020, from its Job Survey.
Test scores
| Test | Average | Median | Range |

| GMAT | Not published | Not published | Not published |
| GRE | Not published | Not published | Not published |
ESCP does not publish GMAT or GRE averages, medians or ranges for any class on the pages we read.
Backgrounds
ESCP says students bring expertise from accounting, economics, engineering, hospitality, law, marketing and sciences, and that with an average age of 30 they use previous work experience to advance or switch careers. It gives no percentages.
The programme
ESCP lists the MBA in International Management with on-campus and hybrid formats, shown as 10 months, and a 10 to 22-month journey on the curriculum tab. Teaching is in English with a single intake each September. The Master's degree is registered on the RNCP.
ESCP lists five campuses: Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris and Turin, plus online options. Period 1 (September to December) is in Paris or online, Period 2 (January to May) in Berlin, London or online, Period 3 (May to June) in Madrid or Turin. You study on at least two.
ESCP's overview also says the MBA is available on three of its five European campuses, while its 'Where you study' list names five.
ESCP's pages differ: the MBA page says 120 ECTS, around 700 teaching hours and 10 to 22 months; the London programme specification says 90 ECTS, over 500 teaching hours and 10, 22 or 34 months. This page uses the MBA page. The specification's own course table adds up to 120 ECTS.
Specialisations are chosen in Period 1: Consulting and Entrepreneurship in Madrid, Luxury and Fintech & Innovation in Turin. For London, ESCP lists a Standard Route and a Graduate Immigration Route, with a 16-week internship or work placement and eligibility to apply for the 2-year UK Graduate visa.

Where ESCP MBA graduates go
These are from ESCP's 'Class of 2020 Job Survey', a PDF created in September 2021 and marked as not contractual: the latest MBA jobs report on its programme page. It does not say whether pay is base or total, mean or median, or give a response rate. Pay is in US dollars.
ESCP's survey says 76% were employed within 3 months of graduation and 40% found a job before graduation. It says 89% work in an international environment and 51% work outside their home country. It does not state the base for these shares.
Two sets of figures from ESCP
| Measure | Class of 2020 Job Survey | Careers tab (2025 FT ranking statistics) |
|---|
| Employed within 3 months of graduation | 76% | 100% |
| Work in an international environment | 89% | 92% |
| Changed sector, function or country | 84% | 89% (job sectors or functions) |
ESCP's pages differ. The Careers tab labels its figures 'Based on 2025 FT Ranking Career Statistics' and names no class. Neither source states a response rate or base. This page leads with the Class of 2020 survey because it is the one document that names a class.

03 · Fees and scholarships
What it costs, and how to pay less
These are for the 2027 intake. ESCP shows tuition of €57,900 plus additional fees of €2,900, and says total fees are indicative and may vary from year to year. The application fee is non-refundable.
The additional fees cover administrative and student services, including lifelong alumni association membership, lifelong Career Centre access, AI tools and software licences, Blue Factory incubator services and the library. ESCP says fees also include international SOS assistance, courses, projects and activities. Travel and accommodation are not included.
The €5,000 deposit is non-refundable and deducted from tuition, paid when confirming acceptance by the specified deadline. The MBA page gives no date; the London specification says it is in the offer letter. ESCP does not publish tuition due dates or an instalment plan on the page we read.
Estimated living costs (estimated total per city)
| City | Estimated total |
|---|
| Paris | €3,200 |
| Berlin | €2,550 |
| Madrid | €2,200 |
| Turin | €1,900 |
| London | £2,800 |
ESCP builds each total from accommodation, living costs, and travel and leisure. Its table does not label the period.
Grants and scholarships
ESCP says all applicants are automatically considered for grants, awarded in varying amounts by the Admissions Committee. It says the Committee weighs essays, professional background, work experience, GMAT score, personal interview and financial situation.
ESCP says grants and scholarships are not cumulative, maximum funding is €20,000 and you can apply for scholarships once a year. It does not publish the share of students on aid or an average grant size.
| Scholarship | What you get and who it is for |
|---|
| Women in Leadership | Amount not published. For self-funding female applicants who show excellence in leadership. |
| Entrepreneurial | Amount not published. For applicants involved in an entrepreneurial project or start-up, or planning one after the MBA. |
| NGO / Non-Profit | Amount not published. For self-funding applicants employed by an NGO or non-profit. |
ESCP says scholarship applications are part of the application form and you may apply for all three if relevant. A panel of the Director of Studies, the Associate Dean of the MBA and industry executives awards them. The decision comes with the admission decision, and scholarships are deducted from tuition.
Schemes from home countries
| Scheme | Who it is for |
|---|
| CHARPAK | Indian students |
| COLFUTURO | Colombia, scholarships worth €10,000 |
| FUNED | Mexico, €15,000 |

Loans
ESCP lists Banca Sella 'Prestito d'Onore' (Italian students, up to €30,000), BNL 'Futuriamo' (Italian students, up to €70,000), a Bank of China foreign exchange loan (Chinese students) and Brain Capital (EU students, Germany). It says French citizens can use the Compte Personnel de Formation (CPF).

Check my chances05 · Clubs and activities
Life outside class
ESCP's Student Life page covers all programmes and campuses, not only the MBA, and does not say which clubs MBA students join. It says there are 'some fifty clubs and associations' and that involvement is 'strongly encouraged'. It gives examples, not a full list.
Examples ESCP gives
| Club | What they do |
|---|
| Agora | The student union, elected by students. It bridges students and administration on the different campuses and organises social events that encourage networking across year groups, programmes and nationalities. |
| Junior Enterprise | A student-run business association that works with corporate clients across Europe on genuine business projects. |
| Finance Society (EFS) | Described as the oldest and largest student association in finance, with branches on all five campuses. Teams do market research and produce reports, organise networking events and provide materials for application and interview preparation. |
| GEA Sustainability | Educates future leaders through events and awareness campaigns, on three pillars: Educate, Initiate, Network. |
| 180 Degrees Consulting ESCP | A consultancy for non-profits and social enterprises, with 50+ student volunteer consultants and a branch on all campuses. |
| Call ON'U | A cross-campus organisation that prepares ESCP's yearly participation at the National Model United Nations in New York City, where around 4,000 students act as diplomats in UN committees. |
| ESCP Women in Leadership Society | Named on the MBA page by a Class of 2024 MBA student who is its president, who describes its mission as gender inclusivity and equality. ESCP gives no further description. |
Events ESCP names
| Event | What it is |
|---|
| ESCP Entrepreneurship Festival | Students present their ideas to potential stakeholders. |
| ESCP Ski Event | Annual, with students from all six campuses, alumni and company representatives. |
| ESCP Regatta | An annual weekend at sea in Italy for students from all six campuses, staff, faculty and alumni. |
| Conference for Sustainable Innovation | At ESCP Berlin. An edition ESCP calls 'this year's' (it gives no year), at the Allianz Forum, had 250 students and 50+ company, NGO and public-sector representatives. |
| Campus events | The London Campus Annual Gala every spring and the Berlin European Summer Night, both annual. |
The Student Life page speaks of six campuses, while the MBA page lists five campuses for the MBA. Sports: the Paris campus offers around 30 disciplines, and Turin organises an annual regatta.
In the MBA itself
| Activity | What ESCP says |
|---|
| Company Consultancy Projects | Two projects in two countries. Examples listed include Google, Cartier, BNP Paribas, Amadeus, Grant Thornton and the Spanish Olympic Committee. |
| Personal development workshops | Effective communication, leadership, negotiation, personal branding and values. |
| Languages and events | Optional French, German or Spanish language courses, and unlimited access to masterclasses and networking events. |
06 · Process
From application to decision
Step 1: online applicationBy your round deadline
Apply online at admissions.escp.eu, in English, with the required documents and the €180 non-refundable fee.
You can ask for a CV review and take a short online Eligibility Checker first.
Step 2: personal interviewIf you are selected
ESCP says that on review, selected candidates are invited to a personal interview. Clarity of application, motivation and rationale for choosing the ESCP MBA are 'crucial factors'.
ESCP's London programme specification says the interview is online, with a panel of programme directors, faculty and alumni.
Step 3: decisionWithin three weeks after the session
ESCP says the admission decision comes within three weeks after the session. Decisions of the admissions team are final.
The round table gives results 'no later than' a date for each round. Scholarship results come on the same dates.
Step 4: confirm your placeBy the specified deadline
Confirm acceptance by the specified deadline with the non-refundable €5,000 deposit, which is deducted from tuition.
ESCP does not publish a waitlist policy on the page we read.
07 · What you need
What goes into the application
1. Eligibility
ESCP lists proficiency in English plus either a 4-year degree (240 ECTS) or a Master's degree and approximately 3 years of professional experience before applying; or a 3-year degree (180 ECTS) or Bachelor's with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience plus a VAPP application. ESCP says the degree may be in any discipline.
ESCP says applicants with less than 3 years who demonstrate exceptional maturity and outstanding leadership through their professional and personal experiences will also be considered.
ESCP's pages differ. Its MBA page and the London specification say a minimum of 3 years of work experience, with exceptions, and the MBA page's eligibility table says approximately 3 years. The 2026/27 VAPP form says at least 2 years with a 4-year degree. Check with ESCP.
2. Admission test
ESCP lists the GMAT, GRE, Tage Mage or equivalent. If a test is not available, ESCP offers an in-house admission test. The London programme specification adds that an online GMAT is accepted.
ESCP does not publish a minimum score, a GMAT edition (Focus or Classic) or a test validity on the pages we read.
3. English test
Minimum scores apply: IELTS 7, TOEFL 100, Cambridge C1 or TOEIC 950. Certificates are valid for 2 years. ESCP says exemptions apply for candidates with 3+ years of English-language study or work, and that additional language certificates are advantageous.
ESCP's pages differ on exemptions: the London specification says exempt if the degree was taught in English or you lived 3 years in an English-speaking country. Confirm with your campus admissions contact.
4. Written responses
ESCP's MBA page publishes no essay prompts or word limits for the main application, though it names 'the essays' among grant criteria. The prompts sit in the online application, which we could not read. It describes no video essay or written assessment on the page we read.
For the VAPP route, the VAPP application form asks for up to five 'Professional, Personal Experience Description' essays, each answering with examples of actions and decisions taken on a typical working day. ESCP says they are checked by plagiarism and AI-detection software, must be personal opinions backed by experience, and the form gives no word limit. The route also needs company and role details, an organisation chart, a skills list and a signed sworn statement.
5. Professional reference
ESCP's list of required documents includes a professional reference, for example an employer's reference. It does not say how many references the main application needs. ESCP also offers a downloadable recommendation template, which is the file headed for the VAPP route; it does not say the main application must use it. In that template, the referee gives their relationship to you (for example direct supervisor, peer or mentor) and how long and how closely they worked with you. They then rate you Excellent, Average or Poor on 12 criteria, and add comments.
The 12 criteria are leadership potential, maturity, analytical skills, practical orientation, intellectual ability, creative innovative approach, aptitude for teamwork, oral communication skills, perseverance, organisational ability, ability to operate in an international environment and written communication skills. ESCP states no reference deadline.
For the VAPP route, ESCP asks for two signed recommendation letters from a previous and a current employer, manager or client. A colleague at a similar hierarchical level cannot write them.
6. Documents
A copy of your ID or passport; a CV in English (ESCP gives no page or format limit); degree certificates; grade transcripts covering all years of university study; a professional reference; your admission test result; your English test result; and the €180 fee. ESCP says all documents are to be in the language of the campus you apply to, or English.
Non-EEA and non-Swiss nationals need a visa to study in the EU. ESCP says EEA and Swiss nationals can study without one but cannot do work placements or internships on that basis, and that each campus has a named visa officer.
